Indian lentil puree soup

Ingredients & Recipe

Chop garlic and ginger. Pick cilantro leaves. Bring water to a boil, add lentils and cilantro stems, cook until done. Heat oil in a pan, fry spices for 30 sec. Mash lentils into a puree, add spices, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, salt and cilantro leaves. Bring to a boil over low heat.

Ingredients:
water – 1.5L, garlic – 3 cloves, cilantro – 2 sprigs, ginger root – 2cm, red lentils – 300g, lemon juice – 1 tbsp, turmeric – ½ tsp, cumin – ½ tsp, coriander – ½ tsp, oil – 1 tbsp, cayenne pepper – pinch, salt – to taste
